We tried a couple, looking for an alternative to plastic bags. They've been fabulous! Easy to care for and holding up really well. The kids use them all the time for snacks/lunches, and they're great for trips to the zoo and the park. We haven't had any problems with any kinds of foods. We use them for bunny crackers, chips, grapes, baby carrots, cucumbers, all kinds of stuff. Now that we've tried them and love them, we're stocking up. I just ordered 12 more!

Great bags for snacks |

I bought several of the snack size (as well as the medium size) several years ago. My boys use them daily to transport their dry snacks to school. They each are washed 1-2 times a week for 40 plus weeks of the school year. The bags are still in great shape! We only bring dry snacks such as pretzels, dry cereal, goldfish o other crackers. This is one easy step to take to take care of the environment. Every day we keep several plastic baggies out of a landfill.

We use these for food (sugar snap peas, carrots, grapes, raspberries, gold fish, pretzels, etc...). I also love them for keeping my baby's medicine in, along with the medicine syringe (does not have a needle). Great for keeping the medicine and dispenser together in the diaper bag. Love these bags!

I bought several of these at the farmers' market in san diego, CA and have since ordered more to give to friends with small kids for snacks. I use mine for sandwiches, dry oatmeal, sesame seeds, mixed nuts and keep finding more uses for them. Anything to stop the purchase and waste of plastic ziploc bags. I also find them useful for small bottles and knitting project while traveling.

Not So Good for Food |

I love the idea of these, and I bought quite a few of them from a farmer's market vendor. I bought them because I really want to cut down on my zip-lock baggie use, and I only use those for food & lunches. So far, they aren't so good for certain foods: I dry-roast chickpeas and green beans. They've pretty much gone back to their original state by the time I eat them. Chips also. Nothing like anticipating a crispy chip just to get a soggy potato sliver. I've put carrots and berries in them - the carrots always dry out and berry liquid sort of seeps through the cloth. Bizarre. I really, really want to love these, but can't think of many foods they would work well with. Maybe trail mix and nuts.
